Greener’s Packaging Center is dedicated to our founder, Theodore G. “Ted” Wojtech, the original driving force and an ongoing inspiration behind our technical innovations and dedication to client service.
Packaging Center Resources
Our new, expanded Packaging Center includes a training classroom and a flow wrapper and vertical bagger for research, film trials, and hands-on instruction.
Seal testing capabilities include vacuum decay, seal strength and burst resistance, microscopic evaluation, water vacuum, and dye testing.
Flexible Packaging Material Trials and Seal Testing
In addition to supporting film trials at your facility, Greener can run trials with your packaging materials on the flow wrapper or vertical bagger in our Packaging Center, where we simulate your production speeds and conditions to provide real-world results.
Your Present Packaging Material
Our trails and seal tests can determine the seal integrity and machine speed capabilities of your present packaging material, and resolve current problems occurring on your wrappers or baggers.
New Sustainable and Traditional Packaging Materials
We trial and test potential new flexible packaging materials that can increase sustainability, reduce material costs, improve seal quality, increase throughput, or achieve other goals.
The Trial and Seal Testing Process
We optimize machine adjustments for each material and run trials with a variety of different sealing jaw designs.
For each flexible packaging material with each sealing jaw design, we utilize your criteria to seal test packages and determine the Manufacturing Seal Range, which indicates the maximum machine speed that will maintain proper seal integrity in a production setting.
We identify and document the capabilities for each packaging material, so you can determine which structure best meets your objectives.
Eliminate the Need to Upgrade or Replace Machines
For new sustainable and hard-to-seal materials, trials and seal testing in our Packaging Center can identify the machine adjustments and sealing jaw design that achieve throughput and seal quality requirements on your existing wrappers or baggers and eliminate the need to upgrade or replace machines.
Training
In addition to leading training workshops at your facility, Greener also provides training programs at our Packaging Center.
Classroom seminars can be combined with hands-on, participatory instruction on our Center’s flow wrapper and vertical bagger.
Programs can be geared toward line operators, maintenance personnel, engineers, managers, and/or business owners at all levels of experience.
In addition to learning about machine adjustments, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance, your team will better understand basic packaging concepts and the complex cause and effect of each adjustment and variable.
They’ll be enabled to make more effective decisions in each unique situation they encounter.
