Sealing Jaws for Vertical Baggers

Sealing jaws are not standardized, universal components. When you work with Greener Corporation, we integrate the unique variables of your packaging operation to design and manufacture sealing jaws and help you optimize set-up and your machine environment.

We incorporate your machinery design and condition, product, packaging material, seal integrity requirements, line speeds, and other operating conditions to optimize sealing jaw performance.

New!  XR™* Sealing Jaws

Dramatically Improve Thermal Transfer Efficiency

Increase Package Quality

  • Greatly improve hermetic seal performance
  • Provide a wider seal range for consistent package quality at variable speeds
  • Reduce set temperature up to 30%

Increase Productivity

  • Run higher bag speeds
  • Reduce dwell times up to 75%

Be Sustainable

  • Significantly improve performance on mono, recyclable packaging materials, even with low sealing force

Save Money

  • Decrease sealant thickness or utilize less expensive sealants with lower seal initiation temperatures to reduce flexible packaging material costs without sacrificing seal quality or productivity

Sealing Jaw Design Options

Serration Patterns

Utilizing the correct sealing jaw serration pattern design is crucial for meeting your seal integrity requirements. Greener can match your current serration pattern or evaluate your packaging material and packaging conditions and recommend new serration geometry that optimizes pressure and heat to improve seal quality and productivity.

Special Design Features
Custom Designs

Our project development experts will help you create custom crimper designs for many types of packaging projects such as new film qualifications, changes in package size, and cross-platform sealing jaw standardization.

Sealing Jaw Materials

Greener will recommend specialized materials to optimize performance or to provide other desired functional characteristics that are not available with basic steel sealing jaws.

High Durability Stainless Steel
  • Provides excellent resistance to sealing face wear and damage
  • Prevents rust and corrosion without the need for plating
Dura-Therm
  • Provides exceptional heat transfer and thermal consistency across the sealing face
  • Prevents corrosion without the need for plating

Carbon and Carbonless Paper

Sealing jaw carbon impressions are a vital diagnostic tool for setting up sealing jaws, solving cutting and sealing problems, and preventative maintenance.

Greener Corporation can supply:

  • Carbon paper for use with unheated rotary sealing jaws and with reciprocating jaws at lower temperatures.
  • Carbonless paper, also known as NCR paper, for use with heated rotary jaws and with reciprocating jaws at higher temperatures.
