Greener Corporation’s Technical Specialists help you run trials, seal test packages, and solve problems with traditional and sustainable flexible packaging materials.

We work with packagers, material suppliers, converters, and machinery OEMs at their facility or in our expanded Packaging Research & Training Center, where we run trials and seal test packages with your materials on our flow wrapper and vertical FFS bagger. We simulate your production speeds and conditions to determine the machine adjustments and sealing jaw designs that optimize package quality and throughput. Greener’s trial and testing process yields accurate, real world results that are more dependable than tests using bench-top sealers.

For new sustainable and hard-to-seal materials, we will determine the machine adjustments and sealing jaw design that will allow you to meet throughput and seal quality requirements on your existing wrappers or baggers, eliminating the need to upgrade or replace machines.

Methodology

Machine Trials
  • At your facility on your machinery, or with your packaging materials on the flow wrapper or vertical bagger in our Packaging Center, where we simulate your production speeds and conditions
Sealing Jaw Analysis
  • When working in Greener’s Packaging Center, trials for each material are run with a variety of different sealing jaws to determine which jaw design optimizes seal quality and machine speed
Package Seal Testing
  • Vacuum Decay Test for Seal Integrity
  • Seal Strength / Burst Resistance Test
  • Microscopic Evaluation
  • Water vacuum
  • Dye Test

  • Reported for each packaging material with each different sealing jaw design
  • Manufacturing Seal Range indicates the maximum machine speed that will maintain proper seal integrity in a production setting
